Superman May Be Super Again

After the release of Superman Returns, the Big Blue Boyscout suffered a pretty big blow to his popularity. Rumors abound of a sequel featuring a villain that Supes can actually punch, but at the moment, they are just that: Rumors.

For those that would like to see some hyper-powered superhero action before this possible sequel materializes, Warner Brothers is stepping up with a series of direct to DVD animated movies that will feature popular comics story lines.

First up is Superman/Doomsday which will cover the death, funeral and return of Superman. Carrying a pg-13 rating, this movie will not shy away from the violence that is necessary to carry this story.

View the trailer, then scroll down for awesome casting news.

The choice of actor to voice Superman is an odd one, but I don't think it will go unappreciated. Superman will be voiced by (feel free to add a drum roll in your head) Adam Baldwin! That's right! Firefly's Jayne!

Awesome!

Excellent Picture.... Jayne is a natural selection of a Hero...

"Jayne
The man they call Jayne
He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor
Stood up to the Man and he gave him what for
Our love for him now ain't hard to explain
The Hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne ... "
